How Tsume Got His Colorful Spots
          Tsume had been walking for hours looking for something to eat. He hadn’t seen anything since he started searching for food, but what he saw at first was another wolf’s prey. Tsume had a nice brown coat, the underbelly, tail, and ears were white, and he had long fur on the back of his paws like a Clydesdale. All his friends, family, and even strangers thought he had the nicest coat ever. None of the animals he saw had such coloring as he did, so he felt a little unique. While Tsume was searching for food, it started to drizzle rain so he started running frantically trying to get his nice fur out of the weather, but he couldn’t find anywhere to get out of the rain so he stood in the rain. Finally it stopped raining so he started searching for food again. He finally saw a deer and charged towards it. Tsume had hit the deer with so much force that he had killed it. He went to the deer and started eating. When he had his fill, he left the deer there for wolves or other animals that needed food. He then started walking back to his den, but then for some reason he noticed the wolves he passed would stare at his fur and then giggle. Finally he got back to his den. He walked in, and saw his mate lying on the ground. He walked over to her and laid next to her. She looked over at him with wide eyes and looked away and sighed. Finally Tsume looked up and asked, “What’s the matter?” he said looking at her intensely. “Well Tsume you should see your fur right now. You look like you ate a rainbow, she said sighing again. That’s when he got up and looked down at his fur. He yelled, “What in the world happened to my nice fur!!” His mate just giggled at him and said to him, “Could it be from the rain or even from what you ate earlier?” he thought about it for second and realized he never goes in the rain. Finally he sighed and said, “I guess it could be from the rain because I never do stay in the rain as long as I did today. I will never stay out in the weather for the rest of my life!” His mate giggles at his response and they both lay down and went to sleep. To this day Tsume has colorful spots except he doesn’t care anymore because he hasn’t seen any of his friends have colorful spots. He felt special to be different than the rest of the others.
